An established and fast-growing financial services organisation is seeking a highly experienced and commercially focused leader to join as Head of Commercial and Business Development. The company provides specialised lending solutions nationwide and is known for its flexible, customer-first approach.
With an ambitious growth agenda and a strong executive team, this role offers the opportunity to shape and drive the company's commercial strategy while playing a key part in its next phase of expansion
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in a senior commercial, business development, or strategic growth role
* Strong background in financial services, lending, banking, or fintech
* Track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies
* Experience managing revenue targets, pipelines, and performance metrics
* Familiarity with capital raising or debt funding is advantageous
* Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving business environment
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Relevant degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the overall commercial and business development strategy
* Drive revenue growth through new business channels, partnerships, and innovation
* Collaborate with senior leadership on pricing, market positioning, and product expansion
* Manage forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for commercial performance
* Support the development of funding strategies as the company scales
* Contribute to strategic planning and wider business decision-making
* Lead and grow the commercial team, contributing to recruitment and performance management
* Oversee commercial projects that support operational and technological improvements
* Ensure strong financial controls and compliance across all commercial activities
* Present updates to the CEO and board as required
