Overview Saint John of God Community Services Liffey Services supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to be active participants within the community that they live.
St John of God Liffey Services invites applications for the position of Staff Nurse based in the North Kildare area to provide support to individuals with an intellectual disability within our Residential and Community Residential Services.
Position Staff Nurses Residential Contract: Permanent Relieving Reference: KILRES061 Responsibilities Provide nursing support to individuals with an intellectual disability within Residential and Community Residential Services.
Deliver person-centred care that promotes independence, equal opportunities, health, and community inclusion for all residents.
Demonstrate commitment to service delivery and accountability with a focus on best practices in health, social care, and Intellectual Disability.
Apply knowledge of HIQA Outcomes/Standards, disability regulations, and relevant legislative requirements under the Health Act 2007 and related legislation.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills and maintain a positive, proactive professional attitude.
Understand and contribute to the values and ethos of the organisation with a vision for implementation.
Be flexible and responsive in all aspects of work.
Possess a full clean manual driving licence and willingness to drive service vehicles (highly essential).
Qualifications Be on the current NMBI register and preferably possess the RNID qualification or demonstrate a full understanding of the needs of those with an Intellectual Disability.
Commit to ongoing professional development and up-to-date knowledge in health and social care for Intellectual Disability.
Experience as a registered nurse working with people with an intellectual disability, complex support needs and positive behaviour support is desirable.
