Senior Occupational Therapist Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned Occupational Therapist to step into a senior position, working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide expert assessment, intervention, and discharge planning for patients across a variety of acute settings. You will also gain exposure and professional growth in a wide range of clinical areas, including Acute Medical & Surgical Wards, Care of the Elderly, Orthopaedics & Trauma, Stroke & Neurology and Acute Rehabilitation Services.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, particularly in orthopaedics, surgical, and medical rehabilitation. They will also have proven ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to an MDT, leadership and mentoring experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualised treatment plans for patients in orthopaedics, medical, surgical, and the medical assessment unit. You will also supervise and mentor junior Occupational Therapists and students, drive service development initiatives and quality improvement projects, and promote functional independence through rehabilitation interventions and discharge planning.
