Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Process Engineer to provide technical support and program management to all functional departments and NPIs across our API site in Manorhamiliton Road, Sligo.
The successful candidate will provide engineering support to all functional departments, support NPI activities and reduce standard product costs by identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
This position reports to the Operations Lead.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract.Roles and ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support to all manufacturing and control system related issues.
Tasks include, daily trouble shooting, optimisation, cost reduction, training and coaching of manufacturing personnel.Support commissioning and validation activities during project start-up.Process and equipment optimisation to sustain and improve product quality, yields and throughput.
Making recommendations and implementing measures to improve production systems, equipment performance, yields and quality of product.Execution of process development on existing products or new late-stage clinical products including scale up to plant equipment.Identify continuous improvement activities and lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement.
Support activities in the areas of cost reduction, process efficiency and operational excellence.Provide on-the-floor technical support to the Production Team Leaders or process/equipment optimization and troubleshooting.Identification and project management of continuous improvement projects.Develop and update batch and cleaning documentation for NPIsSupport process front runs for both NPI and commercial processesDevelop process control recipes for NPIs and the optimisation of existing commercial process recipesAdhere to and support all EHS&E standards, procedures and policies.QualificationsDegree or higher qualification in?chemical engineering, process engineering?or related technical area.2 years' experience in process engineeringRelevant experience of batch processing, automation, technical transfers, scale up, commissioning and validation in a cGMP pharmaceutical industry.Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and meeting predefined quality requirements.Additional InformationAbbVie is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to operating with integrity, driving innovation, transforming lives and serving our community.
