The Profile We're Looking For
* 5 years' experience as a Health & Safety Consultant or Safety Officer, specifically within civil engineering, local authority, or water infrastructure environments.
* Based in, or with strong ties to,
Munster
or
South Leinster
, with the flexibility and willingness to travel across the region.
* Third-level Health & Safety qualification (Diploma or higher), or currently completing a relevant qualification.
* Solid working knowledge of Irish construction safety legislation and PSCS duties, with strong communication skills and the confidence to engage contractors and client teams.
It's A Plus If You Have
* Experience acting in a PSDP capacity or supporting design-stage risk management.
* A track record of delivering health & safety training or toolbox talks to site and operational teams.
* Additional workplace safety certifications relevant to construction, civil engineering, or utilities.
What You'll Be Doing
* Deliver site inductions, inspections, and audits on civil engineering, local authority, and water infrastructure projects.
* Act as PSCS representative, promoting best practice and ensuring compliance with statutory and client requirements.
* Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements, and project-specific safety documentation.
* Liaise with client representatives, coordinate contractors, and support project teams in resolving safety issues.
* Contribute to safety management systems and benefit from structured mentoring and ongoing CPD.
