The Clinical Nurse Specialist will work with the multi-professional Psycho-oncology team in the promotion of a patient centred approach to cancer patients and their families. In doing so, he/she will provide nursing expertise, education and a management consultation service to patients, their relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team in all areas of this specialty. The post holder will also be expected to contribute to nurse-led quality initiatives which meet national, regional and local standards in cancer, supportive and palliative care.
