Comer Group Ireland, one of Ireland's largest private landlords, is currently seeking a Painter for a full-time, fixed-term contract based in Galway.
This role involves delivering high-quality painting and general maintenance work across our residential and commercial properties in the Galway area. The successful candidate will work as part of a skilled maintenance team to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out painting, decorating, and minor repair works across Comer Group Ireland properties in Galway
* Prepare painting surfaces (cleaning, patching, sanding, or removing old finishes)
* Mix, match, and apply paints and finishes with care and precision
* Protect surrounding areas with appropriate coverings and ensure clean workspaces
* Move furniture or equipment to allow full access to project areas
* Remove and replace light fixtures, fittings, and hardware as needed
* Operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs) and scaffolding safely
* Estimate material requirements and time for tasks accurately
* Communicate effectively with the Maintenance and Property Management teams
* Support colleagues as needed and carry out tasks as directed by the Maintenance Manager
* Comply with company health & safety standards and the Lone Worker Policy
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* Valid Safe Pass
* MEWP certification
* Strong eye for detail and a high standard of work
* Clear and professional communication skills (verbal and written)
* Organised and reliable, with the ability to manage tasks independently
* Prior painting/decorating experience strongly preferred
