About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial function, you will play a critical role in delivering commercial management services for individual projects.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide assistance, support and advice on all commercial issues within the project(s). This will involve preparing bottom-up forecasts at contract award stage, managing subcontract and material procurement schedules, and drafting supply chain ITT's including terms of engagement for subcontracts and professional services.
You will also be responsible for ensuring cost-to-date records are accurate, including calculation of project accruals, and preparing and maintaining an up-to-date Cost to Complete and Risk analysis Register for the projects(s).
In addition, you will prepare monthly CVR reports and any other reports required for the project(s), maximize cash position through WIP control, cash flow production & improvement plans, identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change, and measure quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement as required.
Furthermore, you will undertake administration of the contract, including change management and maintenance of associated registers, ensure appropriate client management is initiated and maintained, prepare, negotiate and agree compensation events, administer subcontractor/supplier accounts from requisitions to final accounts, and maintain correct site records.
As part of the Site Team, you will assist in work-winning duties as required, including technical writing for PQQ responses, identify and advise upon insurance-related issues, including PI, and undertake any other work as required by your line manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics (RICS Accredited)
* Desirable - Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent
* Full driving license
* Commercially astute
* Excellent knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 forms of contract
* Excellent knowledge of CESSM4 method of Measurement
* 5+ years experience
* Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
* Good communication skills including presentations and ability to negotiate and persuade others
* Programming techniques, project controls, risk analysis, contract admin, procurement, cost, claims
* Marine & Civils experience would be a distinct advantage
