They are a certified CPD Accredited employer with Engineers Ireland, and they were named Engineers Ireland CPD Employer of the year in 2021.Your New RoleIn your role as a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies. You will also provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion in line with budget.Additional responsibilities include:Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications.Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage delivery of project KPIs, programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.Manage contract changes effectively, ensuring governance compliance and adoption of best practices.Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.Resolve contractual disputes and support risk mitigation strategies.What You Need to SucceedMembership of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or educated to degree level preferred.Successful experience of delivering rail projects in a commercial environment.Experience of mentoring and/or management.Knowledge of railway and construction industry conditions of contract.Ability to work on contracts independently.Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.What You Get in ReturnCompetitive salary25 days annual leaveMileage reclaimable as an expenseInternational remote working daysHybrid workingThe opportunity to work on exciting, crucial infrastructure projectsHays Ireland is a trading division of Hays Specialist Recruitment (Ireland) Limited and acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
