About This Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Solance as an early-stage engineer in a brand-new Dublin-based tech team.
You'll report directly to the CTO and collaborate in the design and development of a greenfield, full-suite Banking Service — built entirely in the cloud using a modern Java-based, automated tech stack.

Your Responsibilities
Architecture collaboration: Work with the CTO, Principal Engineer and Senior UI Engineer to turn designs into performant, secure, resilient services
Team mentoring: Coach other engineers, share best practices in software development and processes
Code development: As an individual contributor, actively develop core features and functionality
Cross-team collaboration: Align implementations with business objectives with SMEs, Product Designers and stakeholders
Quality assurance: Build and evolve robust testing practices and uphold coding standards
Technology research: Explore new technologies and recommend solutions to enhance offerings
Compliance and security: Work with compliance and risk teams to implement security measures for sensitive data
Requirements
5+ years of experience in agile software design and development for AWS Cloud
Ideally 5+ years' experience in Banking, payments processing, KYC, AML, Customer onboarding, UX, Data analytics
Significant experience in multiple programming languages and frameworks; proficiency in Python, Java and React Native is a plus
Experience in deployment, release, testing, observability and alerting principles
Proven track record in prioritising automation for velocity and quality
Experience in creating standards and mentoring engineers in design, implementation, testing, automation, code quality and cyber security
Experience leading engineering initiatives across engineers and business teams
Experience converting business requirements into tech requirements with close collaboration
Experience developing API frameworks, zero-downtime release, rollback, versioning & backwards compatibility
Experience improving development tooling and practices
