RoleWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Health & Safety Officer to support and drive our safety culture across our waste management and recycling operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, delivering training, conducting audits, and promoting best practice across multiple sites.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and monitor the company’s Health & Safety Management SystemEnsure compliance with Irish health & safety legislation and environmental standardsConduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessmentsInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and issue detailed reportsDevelop and review RAMS, SOPs, safety statements, and policiesDeliver Health & Safety training and toolbox talks to staffMaintain training records and compliance documentationLiaise with site managers, employees, and external stakeholdersSupport continuous improvement in safety performance across all locationsMonitor contractor safety compliancePrepare reports and safety KPIs for managementWhat We OfferCompetitive salary (depending on experience)Mileage / travel expensesOngoing professional development and trainingOpportunity to grow within an expanding organisationThe PersonMinimum Level 7 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety2–3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Officer or H&S training roleExperience within waste management, recycling, construction, manufacturing, or a similar high-risk environment (preferred)Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicleWillingness to travel regularly across the East CoastEnglish as a first language (or fully professionally fluent)Strong working knowledge of:Microsoft ExcelMicrosoft WordMicrosoft PublisherExcellent communication and organisational skillsAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a teamDesirable / AdvantageousRecognised H&S Instructor / Training certificationsManual Handling / Fire Warden / Abrasive Wheels / Working at Height instructor status (or similar)Experience delivering accredited safety trainingKnowledge of ISO 45001 systemsStrong attention to detailProactive and solution-focusedConfident delivering training to groupsExcellent report writing and documentation skillsStrong interpersonal and influencing abilitiesApply NowIf you\'re ready to join a team that’s creating real impact, click Apply on or before 31 Mar 2026
