Lab Technician Responsibilities: Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and build strong relationships across departments, external suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
Coordinate complaint handling, analysis, and investigation activities for a wide range of Medtronic products, including the receipt and documentation of incoming complaint devices.
Perform laboratory duties including non-routine analyses and test procedure development as part of root cause investigations.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional activities in the investigation of customer complaints to determine root causes.
Maintain an understanding of manufacturing processes and final products, with familiarity in product usage terminology and common failure modes.
Conduct laboratory support functions including performing and coordinating equipment maintenance, calibration, and alignment checks.
Communicate key quality issues and escalate critical information to CQXM management and extended post-market quality teams.
Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement activities, supporting the implementation of cell operating systems and cost-reduction initiatives.
Ensure that corrective actions meet reliability standards and documentation complies with relevant regulations.
Support new product launches, ensuring CQXM quality requirements are integrated into the product development process.
Maintain compliance with all applicable procedures and regulatory requirements; support both internal and external audits.
Train and mentor new analysts, providing support and guidance during onboarding.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (Level 8 NFQ) in a relevant technical discipline such as Engineering or Science.
Experience in the medical device or a related regulated industry is desirable.
Prior experience in a laboratory environment is an advantage but not essential.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Practical knowledge of statistical analysis, problem-solving methods, and quality improvement tools is preferable.
Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
Ability to multitask, take initiative, and manage time effectively.
Demonstrated respect, collaboration, and ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
