*Electrical Shift Technician**Location: Grange Castle**Duration: Permanent**Shift Role*Overview of the role:The utilities shift Electrical technician is responsible to ensure that all utilities equipment in their charge for the duration of shift and is available at all timesDay to day of the role:Maintenance and trouble-shooting of all client electrical systemsResponsible for the delivery of the Shift Expectations documentAssist in the update of Utilities Standard Operating Procedures and ensure Training is carried out with Operations Teams.Supervision of vendors and sub-contractors on site;Ensure that all work permits are signed as area owner by the relevant shift membersBe fully aware of the terms of the site IPPC (Integrated Pollution Prevention Control) licence and ensure that all actions/operations on site are within the terms.All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) rules and guidelinesProfessional and courteous interaction with clientCompletion of all related documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules and guidelinesDelivery of delegated engineering tasks in compliance with good engineering practice and all regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements;Keep training current in line with client's requirements, i.e. SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), EWI's (Engineering Work Instructions), etcEnsures that all utilities equipment in his charge for the duration of shift is available at all times. Any equipment deviations are reported in the first instance as per the site escalation process.To Liaise and Work with the team on all Utilities EquipmentCarryout Investigations on Utilities Equipment, identify problem areas and assist in improvement proceduresLiaise closely with the site MV ControllerEnsure that the minimum shift numbers are maintained at all times.Ensures all issues over the shift are communicated to the next shift on shift change-over in a smooth and efficient mannerTo Assist Maintenance Departments with Planned and unplanned Shutdowns.Update stores spare lists as appropriateAny other activities as directed by the Contract Manager or Shift SupervisorManage the execution of the utilities maintenance program and organisation structure in order to achieve and sustain optimum reliability, maintainability, useful life, and life cycle cost for utilities assets.Implement and participate in utilities reliability programs as per the Global Reliability Program (GRP).Drive local reviews of maintenance performance data using published maintenance excellence KPI results, areas that will be reviewed and improvements sought:Spares costHigh levels of paperworkPM:CM ratioMaintenance man-hours per equipment/systemMTBFMTTREquipment reliability trendsPM program content is to be reviewed on regular basis to remove non-value added activities' and duplication.Develop long term (5 year) life cycle costing for asset replacement plans (equipment moving towards end of life)Ensure that the CMMS system contains the most up to date information regarding equipment data, spares and maintenance man-hours.Maximise maintenance wrench time utilisation through effective planning.Required skills for the role:Electrical, 2 years minimum and good understanding of the basic fundamentals of the various utilities systems.Pumps, HVAC Systems, Compressors, Boilers, steam systems and ancillary services, (DHW skids), Chillers, Cooling Towers, Clean steam Boilers, Purified Water Systems, CIP systems, Low /Medium voltage Electrical SystemsBuilding Management Systems (BMC/QBMS/MCS/ECS/EMS)Good understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems.PLC'sWork within a Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order system environment.Experience with Facility Start Up.Work within a documented Permit to Work SystemComputer literateAbility to read and understand P&ID's.Understanding of SOP's and GMP Engineering systems.Understanding of Basic InstrumentationTroubleshooting / repair of Electrical systemsSenior Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical engineering.Good problem solving and trouble shooting ability.Please note:If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.If you are a non-EU/EEA national, you will require current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.Information on legislation and guides to the procedures in relation to obtaining greencard permits ,work permits, spousal/dependant permits is available on the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation website.Here at Veolia, we're proud to be known as an equal opportunities employer.
