Brightwater are delighted to partner with a global insurer that are now looking for a Group internal audit manager to join a team of 6.
This role will report directly into the Head of Internal Audit.
This is an ideal role for an internal auditor within insurance that is 3/4 years PQE Responsibilities Lead and deliver multiple audits from planning through reporting, focusing on financial, operational, and governance risks.
Provide clear, actionable recommendations and ensure high-quality audit reports are prepared and reviewed.
Communicate effectively with Internal Audit leadership and business stakeholders throughout the audit cycle.
Support audit strategy by contributing to annual risk assessments and maintaining the group-wide audit plan.
Ensure compliance with IIA and professional auditing standards.
Monitor and report on follow-up actions for the Audit Committee.
Advise on key business changes and participate in major initiatives to support risk mitigation.
Manage scheduling, staffing, and coordination of audits, including oversight of junior team members.
Build strong working relationships with internal teams, external service providers, and auditors.
Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of audit staff.
What you need Professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CISA, CIA) preferred; relevant degree desirable.
Significant experience in internal or external audit, ideally within insurance or reinsurance.
Familiarity with Solvency II, statutory reporting, and strong governance practices.
Proven ability to manage people, projects, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
