My client is seeking a
Client Accountant – Structured Finance
to join their growing team.
The role involves supporting the Corporate Services team in the ownership and management of ongoing client company service requirements, reporting directly to an Associate Director / Director of Corporate Services.
This position will support the Irish team with the preparation and review of management accounts, financial statements, and ensuring tax compliance for client companies in line with their respective local regulatory regimes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of structured finance clients, delivering high-quality service and meeting strict reporting deadlines.
* Oversee end-to-end SPV note issuance, including terms/pricing, drawdowns, redemptions, flow-of-funds, signature packs, board approvals, and minutes.
* Liaise with the payroll department to manage payroll processes and ensure timely submission of tax returns.
* Perform and review regulatory reporting, tax filings, quarterly and annual management accounts, and year-end financial statements.
* Prepare and review management accounts, annual financial statements, and regulatory filings.
* Oversee tax compliance, including corporation tax, VAT returns, and Central Bank reporting.
* Support the end-to-end structured finance note issuance process, including drawdowns, redemptions, and cash management.
* Liaise with auditors, arrangers, legal counsel, trustees, and other key stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and internal policies.
* Assist with payroll processes and associated tax submissions for client entities.
* Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior members of the team.
* Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and client service.
* Assist senior management with ad-hoc projects and board meeting preparation.
Education
* Part-qualified accountant working towards full qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years PQE in a similar finance role.
* Strong technical accounting skills, including tax, financial reporting and preparation of financial statements.
* Experience or knowledge of the SPV note issuance process.
* Familiarity with accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, or SAP (desirable).
* Strong client service experience at management level within structured finance or corporate services.
* Experience liaising with arrangers, external counsel, listing agents/exchanges, trustees, paying/registrars, calculation agents, account banks, and ICSDs.
