Purchasing and Stock Control Assistant
Reporting to our Supply Chain Manager the successful candidate will be part of a team which ensures customer orders are filled to our wide range of retail and foodservice customers.
Purchasing
· Manage Stock levels by supplier
· Calculate Orders in conjunction with stock holdings, sales and production requirement, customer and suppliers MLOR and MOQ
· Raise orders for contract pack products
· Monitor Sales Promotions and the effect on purchase requirements
· Process and Issue Purchase orders to suppliers
· Maintenance of ASNs
· Raise claims / non-conformances from suppliers where necessary, for example damaged goods, MLOR issues and various other issues
· Product set up and maintenance
· Track orders though the supply chain from order issue to receipt of stock in our warehouse
Stock Control
· Monitor product dates on deliveries to ensure maximum product life is obtained
· Monitoring picking errors and ensuring stock is corrected accordingly
· Liaison with warehouse personnel
· Maintaining accurate product records
· Participation with wall to wall stock counts and investigation of variances
· Monitor cyclical stock counts to ensure accurate records are maintained
Transport
· Arrange transport of product from all suppliers
· Administer customs requirements resulting from Brexit
· Expedite deliveries with hauliers
· Maintain transport cost on company stock system
· Reports to include, on time deliveries, supplier shortages, product our of stock, overdue orders, customer fill rates
· Ad hoc duties as required
