I have a new role available as a Catering Assistant Stores Person role at Causeway Hospital
26 hours each week, 7am-3pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.
Temporary contract to cover sickness absence until 31st August 2026. If required for longer, the contract will be reviewed for extension.
JOB SUMMARY:
The post holder will assist in the provision of Domestic Services in the customer/patient focused environment of the Northern Health and Social Care Trust.
The postholder will work to ensure that services delivered promote a professional public image to service users and other staff and that Environmental Cleanliness is delivered in accordance with national and local guidelines and protocols.
Maintaining their work area to a high level of cleanliness and adhere to all policies and procedures.
KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure procedures are followed with regard to Environmental Cleanliness in line with Infection Control including the use of PPE as required, Observe safe working methods in relation to equipment, Cleanliness and cleaning materials. (COSSH), Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations, Colour Coding Guidance and ensure standards are maintained
MONDAY= Deliver all stores needed for panties, stock A&E fridge and check dates on food, deliver fruit to NIAS, put away all food delivery and taking HACCP of high-risk food and recording it in HACCP file deep clean freezer & chill room 2
TUESDAY= Put store deliver away, Put away all food delivery and taking HACCP of high risk food and recording it in HACCP file
WEDNESDAY= Deliver all stores needed for panties, stock A&E fridge and check dates on food, deliver fruit to NIAS, Put away all food delivery and taking HACCP of high risk food and recording it in HACCP file, Deep clean veg store
FRIDAY= Deliver all stores needed for panties, stock A&E fridge and check dates on food, deliver fruit to NIAS, Put away all food delivery and taking HACCP of high risk food and recording it in HACCP file, washing the lift door and floor,
Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Domestic Services Supervisor and / or Catering & Domestic Services Manager
To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene is maintained and the Uniform Policy is adhered to at all times.
Undertaking any training courses including in-house and off the job training as deemed necessary to the post.
To report defective equipment / work and floor surfaces etc to the appropriate line manager.
To work in accordance with duty rotas and work schedules.
To Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade, as assigned from time to time, to ensure the smooth running of the Department.
Reporting any pest control problems to Domestic Services Supervisor.
