The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney is the home of the Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, Drumshanbo Single Pot Still and Single Malt Irish Whiskey & Sausage Tree Pure Irish Vodka. The distillery started its whiskey distillation on 21st December 2014 that saw the revered tradition of distilling Irish Whiskey, return to the Western province of Connacht in over 101 years and never looked back.

The distillery is located in the heart of rural Ireland in the village of Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim. Address: The Food Hub, Carricknabrack, Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, N41 WR22.

Reports To:

Distillery Operations Manager

Works closely with:

* Bottling & Packaging Manager
* Production Team
* Finance & Administration
* Transport & Logistics Partners

Role Purpose

The Warehouse & Purchasing Materials Manager is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the businesses warehouses and the efficiency of purchasing to meet production requirements.

This includes end-to-end control of stock, raw materials, packaging and finished goods, ensuring the right materials are in the right place, at the right time, to support uninterrupted production and dispatch.

This role is central to operational flow, acting as the link between production, warehousing, logistics and finance, while maintaining safe, organised, and audit-ready warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Warehouse & Stock Management
* World Class Purchasing to ensure production's needs are met efficiently
* Manage stock across on-site and off-site warehouses

Warehouse & Stock Management

Maintain and Manage:

* Raw materials stock levels
* Packaging & dry goods
* Finished goods
* Plan and organise movement of stock between warehouses based on space, production needs and deliveries
* Ensure warehouses are clean, organised, safe and compliant at all times

Materials Purchasing

Work closely with suppliers to ensure:

* World-class cost efficient purchasing
* Forecast production requirements and ensure stock levels are maintained
* Raw materials are in stock and delivered to production on time
* Ensure materials are available on site ahead of production runs

Manage Stock Levels Across Locations

Manage & Organise transport for:

* Collection of materials from off-site warehouses to production site
* Protect production flow by proactively identifying and resolving material shortages
* Coordinate finished product to load for outbound deliveries.
* Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth handover from production to dispatch

Health, Safety & Compliance

* Act as a key point of contact for:
* Health & Safety Authority (HSA) inspections
* Fire and intruder alarm systems
* Ensure all warehouse operations meet health, safety and compliance standards
* Maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse staff and visitors

Skills & Experience

Essential:

* Experience in warehouse, stock control or logistics management
* Strong organisational and planning skills
* Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or similar)
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations
* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
* Takes ownership and pride in standards
* Team-focused with a strong sense of responsibility
* Comfortable working independently while supporting a wider team

Desirable

* Experience in FMCG, food & drink, or manufacturing environments
* Knowledge of batch tracking and traceability
* Experience preparing for audits or inspections

Competitive Salary Depending on Experience

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
