Structural Design Engineer | Dublin
Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Irish consultancy to support the appointment of a Structural Design Engineer to join their expanding buildings team. This is a permanent position offering a superb opportunity to further your structural engineering career within a collaborative and technically strong practice.
Your new role as Structural Design Engineer
As a Structural Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective and sustainable building design projects across a broad range of sectors including residential, healthcare, education and commercial developments. You'll work closely with architects, multidisciplinary design teams, contractors and clients to deliver robust structural solutions from concept through detailed design and site support.
Key responsibilities will include:

Designing structural elements for building projects of varying scale and complexity.
Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and project teams.
Conducting structural surveys and preparing technical reports.
Providing design input to site development and construction monitoring.
Supporting project management activities and contributing to project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

An honours degree in structural or civil engineering (Level 8 NFQ or equivalent).
2-5 years' relevant experience in structural design within a consultancy environment.
Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with eagerness to develop broader technical software skills.
Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
Full clean driving licence and a high level of spoken and written English proficiency.
Desirable experience includes exposure to MasterSeries (or similar analysis software), AutoCAD, BIM/Revit workflows, and design in accordance with the Eurocodes.
