An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of a Shift Maintenance Engineer with Electrical skills within our Ashbourne plant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will hold a key role within the Maintenance Team. Their purpose is to work flexibly within the team to minimise machine downtime through effective Preventative, Predictive and Reactive Maintenance.
The person will also be required to support installations of new equipment and work with OEM's & Contractors when needed.
Essential Skills and Experience:
High degree of Safety Training and awareness
Minimum Qualification to Fetac/NQF Level-6 or Equivalent City & Guilds / EQF-Level-5 in Mechanical Engineering Trade
Experience in a Manufacturing Industry
Ability to problem solve in a structured manner
Qualified/Trained to carry out minor electrical repairs as required
Ability to work shifts including Nights and Weekends as required
Computer literacy skills
Familiar with Preventative Maintenance schedules and the use of Planned and Preventative Maintenance software (CMMS)
Work with & Lead Contractors & OEM's as required
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Leadership skills as well as an ability to work on their own.
A working knowledge of modern day Safety Systems.
Qualifications/Training in any of the following: Welding, Turning, Pipe-Fitting, Energy Conservation, AC & DC Motor Maintenance, Working-at-Height, Forklift Trucks.
