Junior Estimator Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Junior Estimator to join our team. As a Junior Estimator, you will play a key role in the tender bid process, working closely with the Technical and Project Coordination Departments to review project requirements, assess costing needs, and prepare tender costs proposals.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience, preferably from a main contractor background, with good technical knowledge and onsite operations experience. You will be responsible for:
* Reviewing and assessing tender documentation, including interpreting drawings, specifications, reports, and scope of works requirements.
* Preparing consultant, subcontractor, and material packages for pricing using the latest estimating software.
* Reviewing and preparing consultant, subcontractor, and materials cost analysis for cost comparison purposes.
* Managing tender documents and assisting in the completion and return of tender documents.
* Assisting in the preparation of project handover reports, including collating necessary documentation.
As a Junior Estimator, you will work as part of a dynamic team, contributing to the successful delivery of projects across various sectors, including Commercial & Fit-Out, Civic & Amenity, Education, Conservation & Restoration, Healthcare, Pharma & Industrial, Tourism & Leisure, and Residential.
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to read and interpret technical information, and a strong problem-solving aptitude. You will also require proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as a valid driving license.

Requirements
The following qualifications and skills are required for this role:
* Relevant diploma or degree-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction-related discipline.
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably from a main contractor background.
* Good technical knowledge and onsite operations experience.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Valid driving license.
