We are currently looking for an Events Operative to join our team at our facility in Cork City Centre ( 7 Month Fixed Term Contract) Main duties and responsibilities Setting up rooms as per schedule (tables, chairs, layouts) Ensure furniture moves and resets are carried out as required, this will involve lifting shifting heavy items, including equipment furniture Meeting clients and helping them get settled Assisting with basic tech setup (connecting laptops to projectors, setting up microphones, selecting HDMI source on TVs) Preparing tea, coffee, and refreshments Cleaning up after events During quieter periods, you'll also assist with: Cleaning the facility rental rooms Hoovering, mopping, and general upkeep Using carpet cleaning equipment Maintaining outdoor areas (sweeping courtyards, clearing leaves) Assist in emergencies such as light leaks, spills etc Be proactive in communicating with the Facilities Team Manager and helping to find solutions when needed # Flexible availability (events running Monday-Sunday, mornings or afternoons) Any other ad-hoc duties which may be required from time to time Qualifications and experience Previous experience in events, hospitality, or facilities is beneficial but not essential.
Comfortable with room set up and furniture re-organisation Friendly and helpful attitude Basic competence with simple IT setups Willingness to support general cleaning and facilities duties when required Adhere to local legislative and Client H S protocols Flexibility We are looking forward to hearing from you!
