Your role at Clorox:
The Manager, VMO Enablement & Transformation is responsible for designing, standardizing, and scaling the operating capabilities of the Vendor Management Office across the enterprise. This role will develop and institutionalize VMO playbooks, governance frameworks, and lifecycle processes while driving operational excellence through data, automation, and next generation technologies, including AI.
The role will also lead and manage an offshore third party VMO support team based in India, ensuring consistent execution, quality, and alignment with global VMO standards. The position acts as a key enabler of VMO maturity—shifting vendor management from a reactive, contract centric model to a strategic, insight driven, and value focused function.
In this role, you will:
VMO Operating Model & Playbooks

Design, document, and maintain standardized VMO playbooks covering the full vendor lifecycle (intake, onboarding, risk, performance, renewal, and exit).
Define enterprise‑wide VMO processes, controls, and governance cadences, ensuring consistency across regions and business units.
Establish clear RACI models, decision rights, escalation paths, and service catalogs for the VMO.
Drive adoption of standardized practices through change management, training, and stakeholder engagement.

Process Excellence & Scalability

Identify process inefficiencies and implement lean, scalable operating models that support growth and increased vendor complexity.
Working closely with Procurement to develop repeatable frameworks for vendor tiering, performance scorecards, QBRs, risk reviews, and renewal management.
Ensure VMO processes are audit‑ready and aligned to internal risk, compliance, and regulatory expectations.
Define KPIs and operational metrics to measure VMO effectiveness, value realization, and service performance.

Offshore Third‑Party Team Management (India)

Lead and govern a third‑party offshore VMO operations team in India, covering execution activities such as data management, reporting, scorecards, and operational support.
Set clear performance expectations, SLAs, and quality standards for the offshore team.
Build strong operating rhythms across time zones, including handoffs, documentation standards, and communication cadences.
Drive continuous improvement, capability uplift, and knowledge transfer within the offshore model.

Technology, Data & AI Enablement

Partner with Technology, Procurement, and Finance teams to implement and optimize VMO platforms, CLM tools, and vendor management systems.
Identify and deploy AI and automation use cases within the VMO, such as contract clause extraction and obligation tracking, vendor risk signal monitoring, performance analytics and predictive insights, automated reporting and renewal alerts.
Ensure strong data foundations, governance, and adoption of digital workflows.
Act as a bridge between business needs and technology teams for VMO‑related enhancements.

Stakeholder & Change Leadership

Serve as a trusted partner to Procurement, Legal, Risk, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
Translate strategic VMO objectives into practical, executable operating capabilities.
Support executive‑level reporting and storytelling on vendor performance, risk, and value.
Champion a culture of standardization, data‑driven decision‑making, and continuous improvement.

What we look for:
Years and Type of Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or related field
5+ years of relevant experience in contract management in a legal firm, logistics operations, or supply chain governance, preferably in a multinational or FMCG environment
Deep understanding of Vendor Management Office (VMO)
Strong experience in process design, playbook development, and operating model standardization
Proven capability in managing offshore or third‑party delivery teams, ideally in India
Hands‑on experience with VMO platforms, CLM systems, procurement or vendor risk tools

Practical exposure to AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation initiatives within procurement or vendor management.
Skills and Abilities:

Strong people and vendor leadership skills in a matrixed, global environment
Ability to influence without authority and drive adoption across diverse stakeholders
Structured, analytical thinker with a bias for execution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level materials

High degree of ownership, resilience, and continuous improvement mindset.
