Eir business talentis currently seeking applicants for DevOps Engineer - Remote (Open to Candidates in Ireland/UK) for our client based in Limerick DevOps Engineer Location: Limerick Remote (Open to Candidates in Ireland/UK) Duration: 12+ months contract highly extendable This role will have a direct and meaningful impact within the pharmaceutical manufacturing domain, supporting the delivery of GxP-compliant, mission-critical systems that enable safe, efficient, and high-quality drug production. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work on Manufacturing Execution System implementations, playing a key role in modernizing and stabilizing manufacturing IT platforms. Your work will directly influence production reliability, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across complex, global manufacturing environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including automation engineers, quality, validation, and IT, helping bridge the gap between traditional manufacturing systems and modern cloud-native DevOps practices. Your responsibilities: (Up to 10, Avoid repetition) Design, develop, and maintain robust infrastructure tooling and services using modern programming languages including Go Proven experience in automating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployment processes. Develop and maintain integrations with multiple Services. Knowledge of RabbitMQ and other messaging systems for distributed system workflows. Contribute to code reviews, participate in architecture design discussions, and help shape infrastructure best practices. Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure system observability and reliability. Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools while ensuring alignment with security and compliance standards. Your Profile 45 years+ of professional software development experience. Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, particularly with services like AKS and related cloud-native offerings. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins or ArgoCD, and a deep understanding of modern DevOps methodologies. Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Pulumi. Comfortable working in Linux-based environments, with scripting knowledge in Bash, Python, or similar. Well-versed in Git-based workflows and committed to modern software engineering standards, including automated testing (preferrably with Robot experience). Experience working in GxP environments an advantage. Candidates should hold appropriate RTWs for Ireland i.e. Stamp1G Spousal, Stamp 4, Irish/British/EU passport.
