Company Description
Aden is an early-stage precision health and longevity company building a data-driven platform that integrates biological, clinical, and lifestyle data to deliver personalised insights and recommendations.
We are building the technical foundations of a scalable health platform from the ground up and are now looking for a senior, hands-on Lead Software Engineer to own core backend systems and help shape the product and architecture at a formative stage.
Role Description
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will be responsible for designing, building, and evolving Aden's backend platform while working closely with the founder on product and technical direction.
This role is expected to grow into a Head of Engineering or CTO position as the company scales, subject to mutual fit and company needs.
Qualifications
Required
* Strong backend or full-stack engineering experience
* Commercial experience with Python and API development
* Experience working with relational databases (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
* Experience deploying and operating systems in the cloud (AWS preferred)
* Comfortable owning architecture and execution in an early-stage setting
* Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
* Experience with FastAPI, React, or similar modern frameworks
* Experience with Docker and modern CI/CD pipelines
* Experience working with data-heavy or regulated systems (health, fintech, etc.)
* Prior experience as an early or first engineering hire

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €59,287.33-€80,000.00 per year
