You will be part of this senior team advising a broad client portfolio on VAT issues and looking for opportunities to sell VAT services. We want to talk to you whether you have an area of VAT specialist expertise or are a generalist. You will have had previous experience in a Senior Manager/ AD role. You will be outgoing and willing to work closely with the Tax partner on proposals.Identifying and advising on VAT planning opportunitiesActing as the key point of contact to clients on VAT mattersBuilding a team around you, and delegating workMonitoring work in progress reports and ensuring profitability of the teamRaise awareness of VAT and promote good practiceLiaise with partners/managers to ensure clients VAT issues are managedProvide training on VAT matters as requiredManage the VAT team, including work delegationResponsible for overseeing the training of junior staffWhat We’re Looking ForCTA / ACA / ACCA QualifiedUp to date technical knowledge of VAT issuesPractical experience of VAT issues, either through tax environment or HMRC backgroundExperience in delivering tax projectsExperience in managing a team, working to tight deadlines and helping to develop and train colleaguesExperience in taking the initiative on projects and advisory workThe ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to tailor communication appropriatelyThe ability to work as part of a team including across disciplinesA strong commercial awareness and strong attention to detailA solutions focussed approachRewards That ResonateYou’re more than a number to us; you’re an individual with unique talents and aspirations.
