Role Description
O Rourke & Sons Contractors are currently seeking a Construction Site Foreman.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Foreman or senior tradesperson to join a well-established contractor delivering commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of trades, labourers and subcontractors
Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting schedules as needed.
Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to guide site activities
Monitor the progress of works and report any issues affecting programme delivery
Assist with site logistics, deliveries and materials management
Conduct daily briefings, Inductions and toolbox talks with site personnel
Maintain health & safety standards on site
Maintain site records and daily activity logs
Identify and report snagging, defects or quality issues to Site Manager
Ensure good housekeeping and organisation across the site
Requirements
Trade background (Carpentry or similar) preferred
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Foreman or supervisory role on construction sites
Experience working on health care, commercial or construction projects desirable
Strong knowledge of construction practices and site operations
Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain site productivity
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication and leadership skills
Ensure workers adhere to safety protocols and use of protective equipment.
Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling
