About the Role
This is a senior accounts assistant position that requires the full finance function to be managed effectively. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate creditors and debtors ledgers, assisting with month and year-end preparations, conducting bank reconciliations, liaising with external auditors, addressing queries, processing payment runs, and handling VAT returns. Additionally, you will be responsible for payroll preparation aspects.
Your Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need over 4 years of experience as a senior accounts assistant or bookkeeper in a fast-paced finance team, preferably in a not-for-profit setting. AACA/CIMA or ACA Part Qualified status, or equivalent qualifications like ATI, are highly desirable. You must have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
