Role Summary:
Dawn Meats is a premium meat processor and supplier of choice for leading supermarket, foodservice, and restaurant businesses. Established in 1980, Dawn Meats is an industry leader with annual revenues of over €2bn, employing over 8,000 staff in 15 countries and exporting to over 50 countries.
We are currently recruiting an IT Supervisor for our Charleville site, responsible for all aspects of IT administration, ensuring system availability and delivering high-quality client-focused service.
Responsibilities:
* Implement Group IT initiatives across the site.
* Manage installation and maintenance of IT networks, servers, and security systems, diagnosing and resolving network issues efficiently.
* Evaluate IT system effectiveness and recommend improvements.
* Provide support and repairs for laptops, PCs, phones, printers, and other IT equipment.
* Configure and install IT solutions routinely.
* Ensure sufficient storage on all drives.
* Set up new users, manage backups, security, and passwords.
* Oversee the daily operation of the factory's production system.
* Maintain hardware for factory terminals, with standby equipment available.
* Coordinate hardware replacement and software operation with Maintenance.
* Configure new products and ensure label compliance on the factory floor.
* Plan and implement upgrades, minimizing downtime.
* Review software upgrades for added functionality and benefits.
* Maintain hardware condition, including print head cleaning for barcode quality.
* Serve as the on-site contact for IT advice and support, providing guidance and training.
* Build relationships with stakeholders and assist colleagues with IT needs.
* Adhere to help desk KPIs and customer service standards.
* Manage critical system issues and communicate updates promptly.
* Participate in projects and contribute to policy and system development.
* Order IT equipment within budget and guidelines.
* Prepare reports and data summaries as needed.
* Drive continuous improvement in IT systems.
* Provide emergency support outside normal hours.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience in IT within a production environment, managing networks, servers, and security systems, with exposure to networking, printers, hybrid cloud, and data centers. Excellent communication skills in English, strong time management, and the ability to work independently and in a team are essential.
