Job Title: Banqueting Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and previous experience in banqueting. They will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, developing, and training team members to departmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the management of food and beverage operations for weddings, corporate events, and residential functions.
* Manage set-up and function service staffing requirements.
* Deal with all guest requests and complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
* Maximise on sales opportunities for the banqueting department.
* Attend and on occasion, lead pre-function briefings to ensure that you and the team are aware of any special requirements.
* Maintain all assigned areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
* Ensure all food and beverage equipment are in proper operational condition and are cleaned on a regular basis.
* Conduct food beverage inventory stock takes.
* Ensure the security and proper storage of food and beverage products, inventory, and equipment and replenish supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimising waste.
Requirements:
Excellent people management skills and ability to motivate the team. Knowledge of cash and stock control systems. Possess excellent communication skills with a strong guest focus. Must be well organised.
