Reservations, Meetings & Events Manager

The Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown
is currently inviting applications for an experienced and motivated
Reservations, Meetings & Events Manager
to join our senior management team.

Revenue Manager
, this role is responsible for the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of the Reservations and Meetings & Events Department, ensuring that guest expectations are exceeded at every stage of their journey.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Reservations and M&E Department, including bedroom, group, conference, and event bookings. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Reservations and Meetings & Events office
* Supervising and coordinating the activities of employees engaged in taking, recording, amending, and cancelling reservations
* Maximising room revenue, occupancy, RevPAR, and event revenue through yield management, pricing, forecasting, and revenue analysis
* Updating hotel availability and managing inventory in line with market demand, contracts, and competitive influences
* Managing group quotations, room blocks, and event proposals from enquiry through to confirmation
* Ensuring all client and guest enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally
* Gaining a full understanding of client requirements for meetings and events, including room setup, catering, and operational needs
* Creating tailored event proposals in line with client expectations and senior management approval
* Liaising closely with Front Office, Sales, Revenue, Marketing, and operational departments to ensure seamless service delivery
* Managing PMS data, online revenue tools, reservations backups, and departmental reporting
* Producing accurate forecasts, statistical reports, and financial records, including weekly forecasts
* Processing no-shows and ensuring accurate daily revenue capture
* Handling guest complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner

People Management, Training & Standards

* Leading, motivating, and developing the Reservations and M&E team
* Ensuring hotel standards, SOPs, and brand guidelines are consistently achieved
* Conducting regular staff appraisals, training reviews, and induction programmes
* Assisting with recruitment, disciplinary, and grievance procedures in line with hotel policy
* Promoting high standards of personal presentation, hygiene, and professional conduct
* Maintaining excellent communication through daily briefings and regular departmental meetings

Health & Safety

* Ensuring full compliance with all health, safety, and fire procedures
* Reporting and documenting all accidents and incidents
* Maintaining a safe, tidy, and well-organised working environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a driven, hands-on professional with strong commercial awareness and a passion for service excellence. You will lead by example and thrive in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Essential Requirements:

* Minimum of two years' experience in a similar hotel Reservations or Revenue-focused management role
* Strong knowledge of yield management, forecasting, and revenue strategy
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
* Proven ability to manage meetings, events, and group business
* High standards of professionalism and personal presentation
* Excellent written and spoken English
* A proactive, flexible, and solution-focused approach
