Role PurposeTo lead and support the development and implementation of effective communication strategies that promotes Doras Buí’s mission, vision, goals and services. This role ensures consistent messaging, enhances public awareness, and strengthens community engagement within the Board of Managements structure.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and oversee the centre’s communication strategy (internal and external).Manage, support and oversee the staffs’ public relations effortsOversee the development the website and social media platformsAct as a liaison with local media and community partners where appropriateAdvise the board on communication trends and opportunities.Ensure all communications align with the centre’s values and branding.Skills & ExperienceExperience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing tools.Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse board and community.Personal AttributesPassionate about community development and engagement.Creative, proactive, and detail oriented.Reliable and able to attend meetings (in person or via zoom)Benefits of VolunteeringMake a meaningful impact in communities.Gain experience in nonprofit governance and strategic communication.Expand your professional network.Develop leadership and project management skills.
