Clinical Application SpecialistLocationDublin (Field-based with hospital site visits across Leinster)Company OverviewOur client is aspecialist surgical medical device company, recognised for delivering high-quality, innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes. They work closely with clinical teams to support the safe and effective use of advanced surgical technologies.Role OverviewThe Clinical Application Specialist will play a key role in supporting surgeons, theatre staff, and hospital teams in the use of the company's surgical portfolio. This is ahands-on, customer-facing role, combining clinical expertise with education, training, and technical support in live theatre environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical and technical support for surgical procedures in operating theatresDeliver product training and education to surgeons, nurses, and theatre staffSupport new product introductions, evaluations, and trials in hospitalsAct as the clinical expert for the company's surgical portfolioBuild and maintain strong relationships with key clinical stakeholdersWork closely with Sales, Marketing, and Regulatory teams to support business objectivesEnsure compliance with company procedures, hospital policies, and regulatory standardsGather clinical feedback and market insights to support continuous improvementCandidate ProfileEssential RequirementsClinical background (e.g. Operating Theatre Nurse, ODP, Biomedical/Clinical Specialist, or similar)Experience working in surgical environments (theatre-based experience essential)Strong understanding of surgical procedures and hospital workflowsExcellent communication and presentation skillsFull driving licence and willingness to travel within IrelandDesirablePrevious experience in a clinical specialist / application specialist roleMedical device or surgical industry experienceExperience supporting complex or capital surgical equipmentKey Skills & CompetenciesStrong interpersonal and relationship-building skillsAbility to work independently and manage a field-based scheduleConfident delivering training in high-pressure clinical settingsProblem-solving mindset with strong attention to detailProfessional, adaptable, and customer-focused approachPackage & BenefitsCompetitive salaryCompany car or car allowanceBonus / incentive schemePension contributionPrivate healthcareOngoing training and professional development
