Senior Cost/Management Accountant – Fixed Term ContractLocation: Cootehill, County CavanType: Full-time | 18-Month ContractA+F Recruitment is partnering with an organisation in the healthcare manufacturing sector to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join a global leader with a strong footprint in Ireland.The successful candidate will report to the Financial Controller and take ownership of cost accounting, month-end reporting, and financial support for operations and projects. The role involves a mix of hands-on finance work and strategic input, with a strong focus on cost control and process improvement.Key Responsibilities:Lead month-end reporting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysisProvide detailed cost and BOM analysis for new products and plant expansion opportunitiesSupport standard cost setting and absorption projections, including milk and protein analysisPartner with operations to review material usage variances and support continuous improvementCoordinate internal and external audit requirements, including SOX complianceSupport S&OP reviews and assist in annual stocktakes and reconciliationsRepresent finance on cross-functional projects including NPI, process trials, and CAPEX evaluationsRequirements:Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environmentAt least 3 years' experience in cost accountingStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDesirable:Experience with standard costing, inventory systems, and SAP or similar ERP systemsFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement initiativesBenefits:Generous pension schemeSubsidised healthcare21 days annual leave plus bank holidaysEmployee Assistance ProgrammeOn-site role for the first 6 months, followed by 1 day per week working from homeComprehensive training and support from an experienced finance teamTo Apply:Email your CV toor click 'Apply' to submit your application.
