We’re looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to take our Ireland network (ROI & NI) to best-in-market performance. You’ll lead field service engineers, warehouse teams and admin colleagues - ensuring high levels of safety standards, professionalising processes, and unlocking commercial growth.
This is a practical leadership role with real scope: we’ve moved from paper-based processes onto an exciting global ERP and now need a leader to embed “one way of working”, drive productivity, and deliver a standout customer experience - every time.
Why this role?
* Transformation mandate: make it great - standardise, digitise, and optimise.
* Commercial ownership: improve service efficiency, retention, and revenue across two sites and a mobile workforce.
* People leadership: bring teams with you - clear goals, consistent coaching, visible safety leadership.
What You’ll Do
* Lead, coach, develop field-based Team Leaders, Technicians, Warehouse and Customer Service/Admin teams; set clear KPIs and effective 1:1s.
* Champion safety first: embed proactive safety behaviours; ensure robust risk assessments, investigations and reporting (ISO 45001 mindset).
* Professionalise operations: embed our global ERP and company standards; align data, CRM, and reporting for consistent “right-first-time” service.
* Delight and retain customers: protect renewals, improve service levels, and spot cross/upsell opportunities through insight-led reviews.
* Optimise routes & resources: oversee effective planning of fleet, schedules and territories to maximise productivity and OTIF performance.
* Manage the P&L: control costs, drive efficiency, and deliver sustained margin improvement.
What You’ll Bring
* Safety leadership with IOSH (or similar) and practical experience of ISO 45001.
* Operational know-how in multi-site, mobile service or logistics; Waste Management/WAMITAB a plus.
* Commercial edge: evidence of improving productivity, retention, and gross margin.
* Change leadership: track record moving teams from paper/manual to ERP/standardised ways of working.
* Great communicator & listener who sets ambitious goals and brings people on the journey.
* Desirable: Road Operator Transport Licence holder; valid Driver’s Licence essential.
* Resilient, organised, tenacious - calm under pressure, focused on outcomes.
Rewards & Benefits
* Base: €60,000 + 20% bonus
* Car allowance: €4,700 p.a.
* Hours: Monday - Friday (no weekends)
* Leave: 25 days + Bank Holidays
* Pension: 5% contributory
* Life assurance: 3× salary (family cover)
* Private healthcare: from day one
* Family-friendly: enhanced maternity & paternity pay
* Wellbeing & perks: corporate discounts (incl. gym memberships/Tastecard), retail discounts & cashback
