Senior Electronic Engineer Regulated MedTech
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Electronic Engineer to join our growing R&D team in Galway, Ireland.
About the Role
This is a compelling opportunity to contribute to a pioneering sensor-based platform used in the early detection and prevention of chronic health complications. As a Senior Electronic Engineer, you will lead the development of embedded electronic systems aligned with regulatory and product requirements, owning hardware architecture, component selection, and analog/digital circuit design. You will drive design transfer activities to manufacturing (DFM, DFT), liaise with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturing partners to ensure quality standards, and contribute to verification, validation, and risk analysis (e.g. FMEA).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development of embedded electronic systems aligned with regulatory and product requirements
* Owning hardware architecture, component selection, and analog/digital circuit design
* Drive design transfer activities to manufacturing (DFM, DFT)
* Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturing partners to ensure quality standards
* Contribute to verification, validation, and risk analysis (e.g. FMEA)
Requirements
* Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
* 7+ years experience in electronic product development, ideally in a regulated sector
* Expertise in embedded systems, sensor integration, and analog/digital design
* Strong proficiency in tools such as Altium Designer, and lab testing equipment
* Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
