Project Design Engineer – REF: 2518
We are looking to recruit a Project Design Engineer to join our Energy, Utilities and Renewables design team. The successful candidate will join an established team with senior support and will have the opportunity, as their career progresses, to lead high value and high complexity projects.
Location: Galway office.
Responsibilities
Design & project coordination from conceptual phase through to project completion in the Energy and Utilities sectors in areas such as renewables (biogas, biomass, CHP, solar, hydro, industrial utilities), pipelines and installations (gas, oil, water, or wastewater).
Development of preliminary and detailed design calculations.
Development of design drawings and specifications.
Development of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design reports.
Balance of plant design.
Design and implementation of energy saving projects.
Industrial utilities design, HVAC, steam, refrigeration & compressed air systems.
Attend and participate in HAZID/ HAZOP and LOPA studies.
Carry out PSDP/ CDM role.
Candidate Profile
Engineering degree (Honours bachelor’s degree or higher) in Mechanical, Process, or a similar discipline relevant to the specification above.
5+ years post-graduate and relevant design experience. CEng would be beneficial but not essential.
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Good academic record.
Full clean driving license and own transport required.
Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
