This position is responsible for providing a consistent experience to directors, managers, and employees. The Senior Associate - Employee Relations partners with managers and directors, focusing on the work environment, employee relations, retention, and business processes. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Irish employment law and ER processes, working with HR partners on performance management and coaching.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Employee Relations Expertise
* Manages all ER matters across the Cork site.
* Serves as a subject-matter expert to managers and directors.
* Interprets policies and procedures, including changes to policies.
* Applies compliance knowledge to protect the organization and mitigate risk.
* Proactively seeks to improve organizational processes, implementing solutions aligned with global HR best practices.
* Identifies and reports trends to HR Leaders.
1. Relationship Management
* Facilitates difficult interactions among stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes and resolve escalated conflicts.
* Builds consensus and settles disputes on HR policy and practice decisions.
2. Consultation
* Partners with managers, directors, and HR to implement business solutions, utilizing ER expertise.
* Supports managers on HR projects and coaches them on ER and business issues.
3. Leadership
* Implements programs, policies, and procedures to foster an engaged and high-performing culture.
* Addresses issues of retention, performance management, and leadership development through targeted solutions and interventions.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in HR, Legal, Business, or related fields.
* 3-5 years of HR/ER experience, including influencing senior management in large multinational organizations.
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across organizational levels.
* Experience with Workday is desirable.
* CIPD qualification is desirable.
* Experience in Employee Relations, including Performance Management and Coaching Leaders.
