Our client, a highly specialised engineering company, is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Lead to join their fast-paced finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and people-focused professional to take the lead in driving efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement across the accounts payable process and will see the successful candidate guiding and supporting a team of AP Specialists.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the AP team to foster collaboration and growth
Review and approve invoices
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline invoice and payment procedures
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, managing SLAs and resolving any issues
Prepare reports on AP metrics, payment cycles and outstanding invoices for senior management
Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and financial regulations
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency
Key Skills
Previous experience leading a team in a fast-paced, high-volume AP environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills
Highly organised and motivated with excellent attention to detail
