Overview
Warehouse Procurement Manager, AWS Cloud Logistics at Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to keep customers connected to innovation. This role is located in Austin, TX or Bellevue, WA.
AWS Infrastructure is seeking a talented, driven, and highly analytical Contract Logistics Procurement Manager with a focus on driving change and impact at a global scale. The successful candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills and a passion for using data to drive business decisions. You are analytical and creative and will work until problems are solved, providing data-driven decision support and timely, accurate business intelligence.
Responsibilities
* Lead sourcing, procurement, and contract operations for global contract logistics and warehousing services.
* Establish annual financial plans and operating rhythms to measure execution against targets.
* Build and manage operating rhythms to simplify and automate processes, ensuring compliance with terms and reducing procurement lead times.
* Draft contractual requirements in cooperation with business partners to encourage customer focus and reduce service costs.
* Manage supplier relationships including contractual negotiations, service performance, and capability development.
* Identify opportunities, present written business recommendations, and lead global projects to reduce service costs.
Day-to-day/Additional Activities
* Recommend, develop, and implement policies to guide service cost estimation and annual profit and loss planning.
* Develop new business relationships and competencies.
* Partner with supply and operations teams to develop capacity models, guide network strategy, and inform capital investment decisions.
* Own controllership activities including invoice auditing to identify discrepancies.
* Draft, maintain, and standardize contractual requirements with business partners.
* Design exception-based reporting to highlight and analyze outliers.
* Lead weekly discussions reporting on financial performance and areas for improvement.
* Support finance and accounting activities globally with multiple currencies.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
* 4+ years of experience with forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact
* 4+ years of experience with Excel advanced tools
* 3+ years of experience managing commercial contracts
Preferred Qualifications
* Proven supply chain experience in Manufacturing, Logistics, Transportation, or Distribution Center networks, processes, and systems
* Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis with strong communication of findings
* Experience drafting, proposing, and negotiating commercial contracts
* Analytical, detail oriented with strong business sense; able to manage ideas and solutions
* Ability to manage workload and achieve results in a fast-paced, growing, and ambiguous environment
* Solid project management skills
* Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
