Description
This role is responsible for maintenance, engineering, and project management within the Greenogue Packaging division and potentially wider Greenogue site operations. The successful candidate will support facility and production operations through effective maintenance programs and engineering functions, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and supply targets are met. They will oversee the delivery of maintenance and development CAPEX projects, including feasibility, design, HAZOP, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and contractor management.
The candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing, as part of the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety
* Promote a 'Safety First' culture through effective communication and leadership.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations. Review and update SOPs with stakeholders as needed.
* Report concerns, near misses, or incidents immediately and take appropriate action.
* Collaborate with HSE officers on safety initiatives and inspections.
Facility and Production
* Ensure safe and efficient plant and equipment operation, meeting performance targets.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
* Manage maintenance teams and contractors to meet production needs with minimal disruption.
* Enhance facilities and reduce breakdown incidents through proactive maintenance strategies.
* Oversee third-party contractors, controlling costs and maintaining safety standards.
* Manage site facilities and participate in continuous improvement projects.
* Maintain stock of critical parts and order as needed.
* Coordinate tasks and daily plans, ensuring adherence to HSE guidelines.
People Management
* Foster a positive culture encouraging responsibility and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Train operators and ensure training records are up to date.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience in Project Management.
* Engineering proficiency, preferably with an engineering qualification or equivalent.
