Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager the Lounge Attendant will ensure an exceptional guest experience throughout the day. This role focuses on delivering top-quality service, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring that coffee and food offerings meet the highest standards. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the lounge area, ensuring smooth operations while continuously improving service and product quality. Areas of responsibility will focus on the following:
Lounge Operations
Provide a warm and professional welcome to guests, ensuring excellent customer service.
Oversee the presentation and quality of coffee, ensuring consistency in taste, temperature, and appearance.
Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked lounge, ensuring all items are available and fresh.
Monitor and improve the food and beverage offerings, keeping them aligned with guest expectations and hotel standards.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
Manage lounge seating efficiently, accommodating guest needs and peak-time demands.
Ensure high hygiene and cleanliness standards across the lounge area.
Monitor stock levels, replenishing supplies as needed and informing management of any requirements.
Customer Service
To provide an efficient and friendly service to guests at all times
To follow the Mespil Hotel key standards at all times
To provide a warm and friendly telephone service to guests
Handling guest complaints in a professional manner and to a 4 star standard
To maintain a positive, friendly attitude with both hotel guests and your colleagues
Health and Safety
To abide by the hotels health, safety and environmental procedures.
To report any health, safety or environmental hazards within the hotel
To report any accidents, incidents and near misses that arise while on duty
Presentation and Grooming
Wearing the correct uniform and name badge at all times while on duty
Ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming at all times
Other Duties
Attending any relevant training courses as required
Option of serving on hotel committees when required
Carrying out any other duties as directed by the Management
Assisting when necessary in other departments.
