1. Warehouse Operations:
2. Receiving and unloading goods: Accept deliveries, inspect incoming stock for damages, and check against delivery notes.
3. Storage and Organization: Properly store goods in the warehouse, ensuring that items are well-organized, easily accessible, and properly labeled.
4. Stock Control and Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock checks (e.g., stock rotation), and report discrepancies.
5. Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack items for dispatch, following orders and ensuring the correct products are selected.
6. Goods Dispatch: Prepare orders for delivery, ensuring items are packed securely and documentation is complete.
7. Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety standards in the warehouse, using equipment (like forklifts or pallet jacks) correctly and maintaining a safe work environment.
8. Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
9. Driving and Delivery Duties (with Full Irish Driving License):
10. Transporting Goods: Use company vehicles (vans, trucks, or other delivery vehicles) to transport goods to and from the warehouse to customers, suppliers, or other locations.
11. Route Planning: Plan efficient routes for deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
12. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks (e.g., checking tire pressure, oil levels) to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
13. Delivery Documentation: Complete delivery paperwork, including delivery notes and returns, and ensure they are signed by the recipient.
14. Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, handling customer inquiries or issues with professionalism.
15. Compliance: Ensure all driving is compliant with Irish road laws, including adhering to speed limits and other traffic regulations.
16. Team Collaboration and Communication:
17. Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues in the warehouse and other departments to ensure smooth workflows and timely deliveries.
18. Communication: Report any stock issues, delivery delays, or vehicle problems to the supervisor or manager.
19. Problem-Solving: Address issues that may arise during delivery or warehouse operations, including delays, damaged goods, or order inaccuracies.
20. Other Administrative and Support Tasks:
21. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of goods received, dispatched, and any inventory discrepancies.
22. Handling Returns: Process returned goods in accordance with company policies and ensure they are properly logged and stored.
23. Assisting with Stock Replenishment: Help with the restocking process by moving inventory to appropriate storage areas.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Full Irish Driving License (for driving vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes).
* Forklift License (added advantage).
* Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and manual work.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehouse environments.
