In this role you'll be right at the forefront, delivering amazing food to our customers at every opportunity. You'll be working alongside a team of chefs, lead by a kitchen manager to deliver our ever popular menus. Food has a huge part to play in driving the success of our bars, so we'll provide training and support to enable you to craft our menu to the highest standards.
About The Role:
BarBarossa, An Brog, Alibi and Cork's newest restaurant the Hungry Hippo are currently recruiting for a part time and full time chef. Rosters will involve working day, evening and some weekend shifts. The role can involve sole responsibility for the running of a kitchen on a day to day basis.
About You
Prior experience in kitchens as a Commis Chef or Deli experience is a basic requirement, but it's not a deal breaker. We are really confident in our ability to give you everything you need to be able to learn the ropes and feel confident and comfortable in the kitchen, so don't let a lack of knowledge put you off.
All we ask of you is to bring your passion for food and willingness to learn - and we will provide the rest of the ingredients to success.
Duties include:
* Preparing, cooking, and plating up food for service to the customers
* Ensuring the food is stored, prepared and cooked in line with HACCP regulations
* Maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
* Management of relevant documentation for FSA
* Stock management
