Health and Safety Officer Job Description
We are seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join our organisation. This role is responsible for delivering health and safety contracts and policies, ensuring regular inspections of projects in accordance with agreements, and reporting any action points.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organising daily workload and routes to ensure all projects within the business portfolio are visited within a set time period. They will also complete inspection reports to a high standard and upload them to relevant stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a health and safety background within the construction sector, a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, and hold a NEBOSH certification. Excellent organisation and communication skills, along with the ability to build rapport quickly and easily with diverse stakeholders, are essential.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver health and safety contracts and policies
* Ensure regular inspections of projects in accordance with agreements
* Report any action points
* Organise daily workload and routes
* Complete inspection reports to a high standard
* Upload and send inspection reports to relevant stakeholders
* Work alongside contracts managers and project managers
* Recommend prioritised actions for safety improvements
* Facilitate continuous improvement in all aspects of sites as required
Requirements:
* Health and safety background within the construction sector
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
* NEBOSH certification
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Ability to build rapport quickly and easily with diverse stakeholders
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Confident in the use of Microsoft Office
* Full driving license

About the Role:
This role involves 80% administration and 20% site visits. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the health and safety coordination across the organisation and support and develop policies to reduce potential risks.
