Description Of Role/PositionThe permit authoriser provides safety leadership and expertise for the entire Lilly Limerick permit to work program. The role will operate shift patterns subject to the business need.ResponsibilitiesDraft, review and authorise Lilly Limerick permits which include:General Permit to Work & Risk AssessmentLine Break and Lock-Out PermitHigh Energy Hot Work PermitLow Energy Hot WorkRed Tag PermitConfined Space Entry PermitExcavation PermitCritical Lifts PermitDraft, review and submit for HSE & or Management approval Lilly Limerick permits which include:Live Electrical WorkSpecial Conditions permitReview the hazards and controls associated with each task to ensure it can be completed safely and without incident.Verify persons carrying out the work are competent for the task and have necessary access control permissions.Ensure scope of work communicated to impacted personnel and that the work area is in a safe condition.Verify no environmental or business interruption associated with task.Draft, review and approve Equipment Specific Instructions (ESI’s) and associated documentation.Ensure all contract companies and workforce are qualified on SafePermit Portal before work.Act as permit authoriser for small projects and small construction projects under Lilly Limerick control.Support emergency response team activities.Support scheduled maintenance activities and corrective maintenance tasks.Participate in HSE committees, site audits and incident investigations and observations.Support HSE inspections, audits and program reviews.Basic RequirementsFETAC Level 6 Trade Qualification or equivalent.Four years GMP manufacturing experience.
