We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join the Central Commercial team. The primary focus will be on Alcohol and leveraging Musgrave's scale and multichannel reach across Ireland to maximize sales, profit, and purchase at the lowest cost. Reporting to the Alcohol Lead / Senior Commercial Manager and collaborating with the Central Commercial Team, Commercial project team, and Lead Negotiators across Ireland, the Commercial Analyst will identify, define, and drive commercial opportunities in Alcohol.
The key responsibilities include:
* Partnering with the Alcohol Leadership team to deliver strategic benefits through leveraging Musgrave’s scale in areas such as multichannel reach, one cost price, direct sourcing, brand partnerships, and streamlined supply chain.
* Building Musgrave-wide Alcohol commercial insights and analytics across Ireland.
* Identifying and prioritizing opportunities related to range, distribution, suppliers, and scale.
* Supporting the pursuit, reporting, and delivery of these opportunities.
* One Cost Price and Simplification: identifying, defining, and prioritizing cost price opportunities; driving the delivery of ‘One Cost Price’ benefits through analysis, insights, negotiations, and validation; ensuring sustainable cost price management through reporting and gap analysis; supporting cost price and investment simplification.
* Direct sourcing/streamlined supply chain/brand partnerships: evaluating agency/distributor landscape, consolidating opportunities, analyzing benefits, and reporting.
Participating as a key member of the Central Commercial team to support key initiatives:
* Defining business requirements, designing, and testing technology solutions for analysis.
* Analyzing cost price, inflation, commodity, and currency impacts.
* Partnering and supporting commercial strategic initiatives aimed at cost reduction.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A qualified accountant or a 3rd Level Business qualification with over 5 years in a senior finance role.
* Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
* A strategic, commercially-minded thinker with problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, capable of managing stakeholder expectations.
* Experience partnering with cross-functional managers (finance, commercial, IT).
* The ability to build strong relationships, develop new working methods, and generate commercial insights.
* Proven report writing, influencing, and presentation skills at a senior level.
* Experience working with IT/external providers to leverage technology as a commercial enabler.
* The ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
