Our client, a leading company based in Co. Westmeath, is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team.
This role will support the day-to-day Accounts Payable function and will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
This is a 4-month Contract, working Monday to Friday.
Your new job
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Process high volumes of supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy.
* Match purchase orders and invoices for approval and payment.
* Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment.
* Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on any discrepancies or queries.
* Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely resolution of invoice or payment issues.
* Maintain organised and up-to-date files for all accounts payable documentation.
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
What are we looking for?
* 2+ years' experience in an Accounts Payable or similar role.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
