Confirmo is one of the fastest growing crypto payment gateway, and our flexible solutions, low fees, and top-class support make it easy for businesses of all sizes to accept crypto payments. Since 2022, we've grown 700% in volume and now process over $80M+ monthly. We have just received CBI approval for our MiCA licence. We've already hired eight employees for our new Irish office and are now seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to join the team.Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain the firm's regulatory compliance framework to ensure ongoing adherence to MiCA and applicable Irish and EU requirements, and continued compliance with authorisation conditions. Establish and operate an independent, effective compliance function, including a risk-based compliance plan, monitoring, testing, escalation, and regular reporting to senior management and the Board. Identify, assess, advise on, and monitor regulatory compliance risks, ensuring timely escalation of material issues and remediation tracking. Advise the Board of Directors and senior management on regulatory obligations, supervisory expectations, and regulatory change impacting the firm's activities and governance. Oversee compliance with MiCA conduct and organisational requirements, including: Governance and internal control arrangements Conflicts of interest identification and management Client communications, disclosures, and complaints handling Safeguarding and client-asset protection arrangements (where applicable).Outsourcing, third-party oversight, and operational resilience Record-keeping and regulatory reporting obligations • Monitor regulatory and supervisory developments and assess their impact on the firm's operating model, products, and strategic initiatives. Act as the primary point of contact with the Central Bank of Ireland for regulatory compliance matters, including supervisory engagements, regulatory submissions, inspections, and ongoing authorisation obligations. Embed a strong compliance culture across the organisation through guidance, training, and integration of compliance considerations into decision-making.Your Profile:Sufficient relevant senior-level experience in compliance roles within regulated financial services, payments, or the crypto industry. Proven track record of managing compliance programs and interacting with regulators. Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies.Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies, procedures, and controls. Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and advisory.This position is based in Dublin/Ireland, remote work is ok from Ireland with occasional travel to Dublin.
