We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in a residential/respite care setting. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health difficulties.

About the Role:

You will work closely with service users to promote their independence, dignity, and well-being. This will involve providing support with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. You will also be responsible for facilitating and implementing person-centered plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each service user.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality personal care services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health difficulties

• Facilitate and implement person-centered plans that promote independence, dignity, and well-being

• Support service users with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a nurturing and supportive environment for service users

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification
">
• Experience working in a residential/respite care setting, preferably with individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health difficulties
">
• A full clean manual driving license and own means of transport (if required)
